  • Move the knitting needle down the center of the opening, then up behind the back strand to the top center

 
  • Move the knitting needle towards yourself and over the strand being held on your thumb, then down the front of the strand, and back up through the center opening

  • Move the knitting needle away from yourself and over the back strand

  • Staying below both strands move the knitting needle all the way back towards yourself, then move up the front of the front strand, and arrive back at the center of the opening again

 
  • Move the knitting needle up over the back strand, then go down below both of the strands to the front again ending up on top of the center opening

  • Move the knitting needle down the center opening below the back strand

  • Come back up behind the back strand and return to the top of the center opening

 
  • Point your thumb up towards the ceiling, then slide the knitting needle from the bottom to the top of the strand closest to you that is wrapped around your thumb

  • Slide the strand off your thumb and onto the knitting needle
